In September 2015, UN member states adopted 17 new global goals against poverty, inequality and climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals. They apply everywhere, and all states are responsible for their implementation. The central motto of the SDGs is “leave no one behind.” The goals must reach all people and apply to everyone. Previously disadvantaged groups such as people with disabilities must be included everywhere.
The 17 goals, for sustainable development:
